This is an excellent example of how we work – surely it’s BAD for business if clients to take on their own site maintenance? Yes it is, but it is exactly what this client wanted, so it’s GOOD for OUR business! We pride ourselves on making sure our clients get exactly what they need.

Small organisation website

"We need a website" was what they said – "and we need to be able to maintain it ourselves". Beyond that, they didn’t really know what they wanted. Not much of a specification is it?

Not all our projects start like that, but we aren’t fazed. We agreed a fixed price contract, the first part of which was to work together and agree what they wanted and how it should look.

Then we agreed that we would produce the site using Microsoft Frontpage – now I know there are better tools out there, but they already owned a copy of Frontpage and they have some experience with it, so it made sense for them – they are a small organisation with little budget for training or buying software.

But that is how Rosebank works – we spend time understanding what our clients need, then we work with them to achieve that at a cost they can afford. It’s a partnership. It is just like having your own IT department, except it costs less!
